A striking Victorian mourning ring crafted in 15k gold and set with intricate hairwork around the band. Black enamel and six pearls arranged in a cross adorn the face of the ring.
The shoulders of the ring are also decorated with a beautiful black enamel design.
Ring is fully hallmarked with UK hallmarks inside the band, likely for Birmingham, 1876, as shown in photographs.
Please note the use caution when wearing this ring, as handwashing or products such as lotions or sanitzers may damage the hairwork.
Ring box is for display purposes only and is not included with this listing. Listing is for the ring only.
+++ Measurements +++
Size 5.5, but please allow for a more snug fit due to the wider band. Ring cannot be resized.
+++ Condition +++
Minor wear consistent with age, namely to the black enamel, and a small amount of wear to the hairtwork and band, as shown. Overall very good antique condition.
