Gorgeous 14k gold crescent moon ring circa the turn of the century, late 1890s to early 1900s.
The moon holds seven sparkling old mind cut diamonds with three opal cabochons in the center. Old mine cut diamonds are incredibly beautiful, and they are my favorite feature of this ring.
During the 19th and early 20th centuries, crescent moon jewelry was often given as a honeymoon gift from a husband to his new wife. It is also the symbol of the divine feminine and associated with the goddess Diana or Artemis.
Marked 14k inside the band.
+++ Measurements +++
It is a US size 4.75 but can be resized if needed.
+++ Condition +++
Overall the ring is in great condition with only one flaw to note:
Two of the opal cabochons are slightly chipped, as shown in the macro photos (hover to zoom in). This is not visible when viewed with the naked eye, and I have taken this piece to a professional jeweler who has ensured the stones are secure in their setting.
