These amazing cotton stockings circa late 19th-early 20th century are so fun!
"Bang-up" was used during the 19th century to mean stylish or fashionable. Sometime later it came to mean good or excellent (e.g., they did a bang-up job), though I've rarely heard it used today.
I've never seen anything quite like these, so I had to snag them! Definitely one of a kind and super unique.
+++ Measurements +++
Labeled "9 inches" on the toe, they measure 8.5" heel to toe and stretch comfortably to 9". They are 21.5" tall and 10" around at the top, stretching to about 12" max.
+++ Condition +++
Although they have some discoloration from age, their overall condition is quite good and they don't even appear to have been worn. You may be able to get out some of the discoloration with a soak.
