Super cool dark tinted glasses circa late 19th century / 1890s with harder to find gold tone frames.
I have not tested them but they appear to be gold plated.
Before the days of sunglasses, there were tinted glasses, believed by some to improve vision, but also worn for the sake of fashion by others. Some were worn as eye protection from the elements.
+++ Measurements +++
Approximately 5" across the front. They have flexible ear wires to fit a range of sizes.
+++ Condition +++
Lovely condition overall with some minor patina and age-related wear. There is a small scratch on one of the lenses, but I have worn these a few times and did not notice the scratch when wearing.
These are wearable with care at your own risk (the lenses are made of glass, and therefore do not meet modern safety regulations).
