Beautiful hinged bracelet set with lovely rose cut garnets circa late 19th century.
During the Victorian era, garnets mined in Bohemia, an area later known as Czechoslovakia, became very popular in jewelry. These pieces were known as "Bohemian garnet" jewelry.
The bracelet is a very low carat gold alloy, as was common with these pieces. A newer gold plated safety chain has been added.
