Really wonderful black leather boots circa 1930s.
Likely a men's boot originally. Low heel and wider foot bed than many of the women's styles at the time, with a wider toe box (more space for the piggies!).
Very comfortable! I wish they were my size because I would love to keep these.
Marked on the heels "O'Sullivan's"
+++ Measurements +++
Sizing on boots is always approximate, and I urge you to take careful measurements and ask any questions prior to purchasing.
I believe these are an approximate size 8.5-9 women's (I wear a 7.5 and they are too big), but please check the following measurements.
10.25" inner sole length
3.25" width measured across the bottom of the sole at the ball of the foot, and 9.5" circumference at the same spot measured from the outside
1" heel
7.5" total height
+++ Condition +++
Lovely condition overall with some minor flaws to note:
- The main flaw with these boots are the punctures from some kind of decoration or studs that were only added to one of the boots, on both sides, which have since been removed. These are minor in my opinion, and don't cause any real issues with the boots, but please see the photos
- Minor wear throughout, commensurate with age, scuffs and small blemishes in the leather
- Soles have only minor wear
Leather feels strong and not dried out. These are wearable with care, but do keep in mind they are antiques. I highly suggest finding a good cobbler. It is usually quite affordable to have repairs done!
