Incredibly special tall brown leather lace up boots circa 1910s to 1920s!
I have never seen any quite like this, and I was so excited to find them! They are quite tall like a cycling or sporting boot, but they have a dressy, Louis heel.
Canvas lining with wide silk strip at the top. Made by Affleck and Brown, Manchester.
A rare find and so, so beautiful.
+++ Measurements +++
Sizing on boots is always approximate, and I urge you to take careful measurements and ask any questions prior to purchasing.
I believe these are an approximate size 5-6 US women's, but please check the following measurements.
9" inner sole length
2 7/8" width measured across the bottom of the sole at the ball of the foot, and 9" circumference at the same spot measured from the outside
2 1/4" heel
16 3/4" total height
+++ Condition +++
Good condition overall with some minor wear.
Leather is not dried out. Some small scuffs and minor wear to the soles and uppers, toes, heels, etc., the usual places. Some red marks and the remains of a sticker on the soles.
Canvas lining and insole have faint marks but are in good condition.
Small 1/2" tear in the leather tongue of one boot.
Laces are waxed cotton replacements.
These are wearable with care, but do keep in mind they are antiques. I highly suggest finding a good cobbler. It is usually quite affordable to have repairs done.
These boots were made to last a lifetime, and with the proper care and repairs when needed, they will!
