Circa 1910s, this beautiful carved coral cameo may represent either Diana or Artemis in her form as the moon goddess. The upturned crescent moon on her forehead is the emblem for both deities (it is also the alchemical symbol for silver).

🌙 The Greek goddess Artemis and the Roman goddess Diana have many similarities. Both have become known as goddesses of the hunt and the moon, and both are closely associated with wild animals and nature.

Framed in 14k gold, though it is small, the cameo is carved in high relief.

Listing is for the cameo pendant only. Box and chain are not included with this listing.
