This is a very interesting dress! Circa 1900s or possibly a bit earlier, 1890s, the style of this piece seems to hark back to the Regency era. It's possible this was a "fancy dress" or costume piece to be worn to a party or masquerade. However, it is quite well made and if it was a costume, someone put a lot of effort into it!
Heavier navy wool or wool blend with red silk details. Lined with polished cotton.

Overall good condition with some age-related wear and notable flaws, mainly some fading to the skirt and small holes throughout. Some deterioration and tearing of the cotton lining. Bow was pinned in place and I have left it as is.
