Dark brown faux seal plush jacket circa 1890s.
The silk "seal plush" is made to look like seal fur. Jacket is lined with what seems to be a cotton sateen or silk blend. Very large hooks and bars fasten the jacket down the center front.
Small pocket inside the lining.
+++ Measurements +++
12.5" between shoulder seams, measured across the back
35" bust
25.5" waist
14" collar circumference
23" length
+++ Condition +++
Fair to good condition with some flaws to note:
- Quite dusty from storage
- Lining shows some wear and tear, seam separations, and is coming apart in the underarms
- Missing the very bottom bar closure
This would be wearable with extra care. Likely best for study, display, or pattern-making.
