This lovely open back Victorian locket circa 1880s features a beautiful floral mosaic in a style known as "pietra dura" or "hard stone" in Italian.
This style saw a rise in popularity during the latter half of the 19th century around the 1870s.
The locket itself is gold over sterling silver. Place your own photograph or memento behind the glass on the back side of the locket and keep it close to your heart.
