Stunningly beautiful Scottish milky white agate / chalcedony gilt brass brooch. It is quite large and the stones are lovely. Photos truly do not do this piece justice!
The shape of the brooch is very much the quintessential Victorian Scottish agate jewelry style, and this piece dates to the mid to late 19th century and likely comes from Scotland, though I do not have its direct provenance.
It is unusual to find these in this lovely color. It is a wonderful statement piece.

+++ Condition +++
Lovely condition overall with some natural inclusions and flaws in the stones. There is also a small chip on one of the stones that is minor and not really noticeable from the front unless you are looking for it. Please zoom in and examine photos for best condition report.
The gilt brass also has a nice patina that I have chosen not to polish or clean, though you could do so if you prefer.
