Wonderfully versatile black dress circa 1920s in a semi-sheer polished fabric (visibly looks like a polished cotton, but I think it might be rayon or some kind of blend).
Dropped waist and dramatic long v-shaped lapels. Snap closures off-centered down the front. Attached belt has snap closures, and there are snaps at the cuffs as well.
Machine and hand sewn
+++ Measurements +++
Likely best for around a size medium, this dress is meant to be worn just a bit on the loose side. Measurements taken laid flat; double where appropriate:
21.5" armpit to armpit
22" drop waist
+++ Condition +++
Really nice condition overall with a couple of minor flaws (all shown in photos):
- Tiny pinhole on the back, not noticeable
- Some seam separation at a couple of the pleat seams at the hip (looks like someone wore it a bit too snug)
- A thin horizontal line on the front panel that looks like it may be an imperfection in the fabric itself, not noticeable
Otherwise it is in really great condition and definitely wearable with care. Such a cool dress!
