Rare, beautiful white lace up boots circa 1910s or early twenties. There is maker/brand marked inside but it is faded and I can't quite make it out (see photo).
+++ Measurements +++
Sizing on boots is always approximate, and I urge you to take careful measurements and ask any questions prior to purchasing.
I think the size marked is 39 (European, handwritten inside with some other numbers). If so, they would be somewhat true to size, though they are on the narrow side.
These seem to be an approximate size 8 US women's, but please check the following measurements. I wear a 7.5 US and they work for me with a little bit of room to spare.
11.25" inner sole length (but the toes are very pointy, so your feet will not go all the way to the end)
3" width measured across the bottom of the sole at the ball of the foot, and 9.5" circumference at the same spot measured from the outside.
11" total height, 3" heel.
+++ Condition +++
Condition overall is good, the leather is soft and supple, not dried out.
Since these are white boots and around 100 years old, they have some wear and discoloration.
The soles are a bit worn but they have plenty of life left. You may want to have heel caps added at some point, but this is quick and surprisingly inexpensive for a cobbler to do.
The canvas interiors have some staining.
I have replaced the laces with new waxed cotton laces.
The photos give the best description of cosmetic wear and condition, so have a look at those and use the zoom to see details.
These are still wearable with care!
