This nightgown is absolutely stunning! It is so soft and ethereal, and the shape itself is heavenly--everything from the sleeves to the back and the train.
It is a thin beige cotton with a floral print.
I believe this piece dates from the early 1900s, possible 1901 or 1902. I have seen similar styles from around this time.
Is is open in the front down past the waist with no closures. It is possible this was part of a wedding trousseau.
It is floor length with a small train and ruffles at the collar, bust, cuffs, and hem.
+++ Measurements +++
Best for an extra small to small.
56" front length
62" back length
+++ Condition +++
Overall good condition with a sizable hole in the hem and some hemline stains/discolorations.
The cotton is very thin, but in good condition. This piece is wearable with care, but not for daily use.
