I love this beautiful and unusual sterling silver locket by Codding & Bros. & Heilborn circa 1900s-1910s. It hangs on a chunky sterling silver chain with dog clip clasps.
One of the dog clips has been fused shut so the chain is not removable from the locket (but could be reversed by a jeweler if desired).
Locket is engraved on one side. Letters may be DCR but I'm not completely certain.
There are places for two photographs inside the locket, each with a celluloid covering inside the frame.
Marked sterling on chain and locket. Marked CB&H inside locket for Codding & Bros. & Heilborn (1879-1918).
This is such a cool piece!
