Super cool dark tinted glasses circa turn of the century, 1890s to 1900s.
Silver tone frames with dark grey glass lenses. Includes light brown case with burgundy velvet lining.
Before the days of sunglasses, there were tinted glasses, believed by some to improve vision, but also worn for the sake of fashion by others. Some were worn as eye protection from the elements.
+++ Measurements +++
Approximately 4 3/8" across the front of the frames. They have flexible ear wires to fit a range of sizes.
+++ Condition +++
Lovely condition overall with some minor wear. Some patina to the silver tone frames and minor scuffing/faint scratches on the lenses, which do not seem to affect wear (I didn't see scratch marks when wearing them).
These are wearable with care at your own risk (the lenses are made of glass, and therefore do not meet modern safety regulations).
