This sterling silver Fede ring is fully hallmarked for 1884, Birmingham.
The "fede" motif is one of my favorites and represents two clasped hands. It is Roman in origin and comes from the Italian for "faith," and has come to symbolize "hands clasped in trust."
Given in friendship, love, and betrothal, these rings make wonderful gifts. You will often see this motif on Victorian era calling cards.
I love the details on this piece, the hands and cuffs are fantastic!
Listing is for the ring only. Ring box is not included with this listing.
