Beautiful green silk gown circa 1850s-1860s with wide sleeves and full skirt.
Deep-v neckline would have likely been worn with a scarf, chemisette, or fichu.
I have styled it with a white silk scarf in some of the photos (scarf not included).
Hook and eye closures down the front of the bodice. Mostly hand sewn. Skirt has a pocket!
+++ Measurements +++
33" bust, 27" waist, 54" total length.+++ Condition +++
The dress has some obvious condition issues, but would be beautiful for display or study.
- Holes in both shoulders
- Fragile and shattering bodice lining
- Wear, holes, and discoloration in both underarms
- Scattered small holes and a few faint stains in the skirt, mostly hidden by pattern
- Missing closures at waist
- Some wear along the front of the bodice where the closures are
