Stunning ecru Irish crochet lace dress circa 1900s with a spectacular spiderweb motif!
It has hook and eye closures down the back and a pale pink silk chiffon lining in the skirt and sleeves and a cotton lining in the bodice.
The high collar has stays to keep it upright.
I have chosen not to restore this dress, but it could be repaired and soaked to bring it back to a color closer to true white (though I am not certain how white it was originally) if the buyer is planning to wear this piece. It would be lovely as a wedding dress.
I believe this was a museum piece, as there is a tag inside with some handwritten letters and numbers.

+++ Condition +++
Overall condition is good for a piece this age, with some flaws to note:
- Some of the hooks and eyes are rusted and loose and would need replacing if it is to be worn
- Missing one "eye" to the hook closure at the collar
- There are some breaks in the lace, as shown
- A few scattered holes in the silk lining
- Some stains, as shown
