Solid silver locket with domed glass front and back, surrounded by brilliant paste stones.
This piece has features that point to the late Georgian period in jewelry, but it could also date from the early Victorian era.
The front holds a lock of light brown hair and the back holds a photograph of a young man, likely the owner of the hair.
The locket hangs from a gold bail. The back opens and both the hair and the photograph are removable should you desire to add your own mementos.
Chain not included in this listing.
+++ Measurements +++
It measures approximately 1 3/8" diameter.
+++ Condition +++
Lovely condition with minor wear commensurate with age. The paste stones are incredibly gorgeous and sparkly. I have not polished the silver and have left it with its beautiful antique patina.
