Beautiful sterling silver purse circa 1920s. It hands from a finger ring chain that could also be attached to a belt. An amber cabochon stone is set into the push button clasp.
Inside the purse there are three small compartments. One that is empty, another for holding coins, and a third that holds calling cards, a pencil, and a sheet of thin paper. There is also a mirror.
The purse is engraved with the initials of the original owner (NHW, I believe, but see photos) and also contains three of her calling cards that say "Mrs. Walter"
It is in very good condition with minor wear. The end of the pencil inside is broken but it could be easily re-sharpened if desired. The mirror has some wear and sits slightly loose in its frame. There is a hinge on the mirror frame as well.
It would make a lovely gift! It comes in a soft red protective cover.
Signed F&B Sterling for Foster & Bailey.
