This stunning blouse (or shirtwaist) is made of two layers of lace--a wonderful patterned lace on top and a net lace lining--and dates from around 1910.
Hook and eye closures down the back. Three quarter length sleeves with lace cuffs. Silk decorative buttons down the front.
Gold metallic trim around the cuffs and the collar.
Such a fabulous piece!
+++ Measurements +++
31" high waist
39" bust
13" to top of waistband + ~3" of net lace
13" neck circumference
+++ Condition +++
Lovely condition with a couple of very small lace breaks that are not noticeable, some minor wear to the silk waistband and buttons.
This piece is wearable with extra care. The lace making up the body of the blouse doesn't seem particularly fragile, but it is still lace and it is over 100 years old, so keep this in mind. The lace around the cuffs is a little more delicate.
