Incredible late Victorian wool cape circa 1890s with a silk lining. The collar is wonderfully vampy and can be worn standing up as shown, or laid down for a more conservative look.
This is a very heavy felted wool. There are hook and eye closures down the front.
+++ Measurements +++
37.5" length measured down the middle back seam.
136" sweep
+++ Condition +++
Very good antique condition. The silk lining is still in very nice condition with just a bit of wear around the collar, but no shattering. I did not find any moth holes in the wool, but there may be some very minor wear.
Overall it presents beautifully and could be worn with care.
