This lovely bodice circa 1870s is in black bombazine and may have been worn for mourning.
It buttons down the front with lovely crocheted buttons in two alternating styles. Four light boning channels in the front lining of the bodice, two on each side.
It has the cutest little pocket watch pocket in the front on the left side.
The collar and cuffs have adorable flower adornments. The collar has no closures and is held in place with a safety pin.
The seams in the front show evidence of the bodice being altered to change the size at some point.

+++ Condition +++
Lovely condition for its age with no major flaws to note! There may be minor wear here and there. Faint underarm stains *inside* the lining.
This is an exquisite piece. I normally don't recommend pieces this old for wearing, but this one would be wearable with extra care. It does not feel particularly fragile, bit do keep in mind it is very old!
