A very unique crescent moon brooch with enameled reeds. Reeds often symbolize protection. They can be woven together to make thatched roofs.
Reeds are also associated with writing, and therefore sometimes are a symbol of the power of knowledge and wisdom.
This is a beautiful piece, with fine detailing and a lovely seed pearl.
It is marked "sterling top." Some parts are not sterling.
