This incredible piece is a real show stopper. I love these late 19th century gold filled book chains so much, but I have never seen one with this crescent moon and star design! It is definitely something special.
The clear stone is paste, and the red stones may be paste, but I have not tested them. The two on each side look like garnets.
Chain has a different design on each side.
Barrel clasp attaches at one side of the moon.
