Originally a pendant, this wonderful micromosaic of a dog has been converted into a ring.

Most Victorian era micromosaics we see today, like this one, were made in Italy where this technique was created and perfected, and they were a popular souvenir purchase when traveling.

These micromosaics depicted a range of subjects, most commonly sites like the Colosseum or the Roman Forum. Micromosaics depicting animals were less common, but I always seek them out!

Ring band and setting 14k.

Such a special, sweet piece for the antique jewelry enthusiast who also adores animals (like me!).

Ring box is for display only and is not included with this listing.

+++ Measurements +++

Approx US ring size 7.

Plaque measures approx 3/4" x 5/8"

+++ Condition +++

Lovely condition overall with some minor age-related wear. A couple of small dings in the frame. The stone has some faint scratches and spot of faint color variation, but these are not noticeable when worn.
