Beautiful "Bohemian garnet" star ring converted from a stick pin circa late 19th century.
The garnet star is gold filled or very low carat gold, as was common with these pieces. Ring band is 10k gold.
During the Victorian era, garnets mined in Bohemia, an area later known as Czechoslovakia, became very popular in jewelry.
Listing is for the ring only. Props and boxes are not included.
