This wonderful ring circa the turn of the century, 1890s-1900s, features two moonstone orbs set in 10k rosy gold.
This particular style is called a "toi et moi" ring, and it symbolizes two souls intertwined, two lovers coming together. In French, "toi et moi" literally translates as "you and me."
You will often see these rings set with two different stones, but occasionally they are the same stone like this one. Perhaps the meaning here is less "opposites attract" and more "kindred spirits."
