C. late 1890s to very early 1900s, this cotton printed dress is so perfectly light and summery!
Made with a gauze-like cotton, the bodice is lined with a lightweight solid cotton and the skirt is unlined.
Lightly puffed sleeves and pleating on the back of the bodice reminiscent of a watteau back.
Hook and eye closures at the skirt waist, milk glass buttons on the inner bodice down the center front with hook and eye closures over top. Bodice and skirt connect at the back with a row of hooks and eyes. Skirt is full/pleated at the back with a ruffle at the hem.
Print is a red floral spray of some kind (if you recognize it, let me know!). Bodice yoke and collar are trimmed with a matching red lace.

Condition is very good overall with some minor yellowing from age and a few thinning places in the fabric, general wear. One extra button at the bottom of the inner bodice.
