Fantastic paisley print slippers circa early-mid 19th century.
The outer shoe seems to be a wool/silk blend and the lining is made up leather at the back half and a cotton or linen inside the front half. Trimmed around the edge in red silk.
The leather sole has some pencil writing at the toe and is also stamped A25 on both shoes.
Really beautiful coloring and quite unique! They appear to have been well loved.
Hand stitched.
