Beautiful gold silk dress circa 1890s with burgundy velvet trim.
Bodice is lined with brown cotton and boned. The sleeves are lined with a sweet floral printed cotton. Hook and eye closures have been removed.
Skirt is lined with a very loose weave muslin. Hook and eye closures at the center back. Waist seems to have been extended at some point and is much larger than bodice waist.
While she has seen some wear, she is very lovely with beautiful details and would be perfect for pattern-making, study, and inspiration, as well as display.
