Fabulous black velvet side button boots circa 1910s.
Made by Godman, marked on the soles and inside the canvas lining.
Very hard to come by boots like this, especially in this size! A really beautiful pair of boots for your collection.
+++ Measurements +++
Sizing on boots is always approximate, and I urge you to take careful measurements and ask any questions prior to purchasing.
I believe these are an approximate size 7.5-8 US women's (I wear a 7.5 and they fit), but please check the following measurements.
10" inner sole length
3 1/8" width measured across the bottom of the sole at the ball of the foot, and 10" circumference at the same spot measured from the outside
10 1/2" ankle circumference and 10" circumference at the top opening
1 1/2" heel
8 1/2" total height
+++ Condition +++
Lovely condition overall with some minor wear as shown. The velvet is in good shape but there are a couple of spots that show a tiny bit of wear (really excellent for their age!). The soles show some wear as well. Toes have a bit of wrinkling. The inside canvas lining is fairly clean with some wear and discoloration from age. No strong odors.
These are wearable with care, but do keep in mind they are antiques. I highly suggest finding a good cobbler. It is usually quite affordable to have repairs done.
These boots were made to last a lifetime, and with the proper care and repairs when needed, they will!
