Wonderful tinted glasses circa turn of the century / 1890s-1900s. Flexible steel frames. Lenses are not prescription or magnifying, just tinted.
Before the days of sunglasses, there were tinted glasses, believed by some to improve vision, but also worn for the sake of fashion by others. Some were worn as eye protection from the elements.
+++ Measurements +++
Approximately 4 3/8" across the front. Frames are flexible to fit a range of sizes. Typically worn lower down on the nose than modern sunglasses.
+++ Condition +++
Lovely condition overall with some minor patina and age-related wear.
These are wearable with care at your own risk (the lenses are made of glass, and therefore do not meet modern safety regulations).
