Before the days of sunglasses, there were tinted glasses, believed by some to improve vision, but also worn for the sake of fashion by others.
These gorgeous amber tinted eyeglasses by well known maker "Willson" date from around the 1910s to 1920s. They have wire frames that are flexible to fit a range of sizes. I do not often find these with round lenses and in this color!
The glasses came in this hard case from Texas State Optical. I'm not certain if it is original to these glasses, but it fits with the era and the glasses are also a nice fit. Comes with a lens cleaning cloth :)
The lenses are tinted but are not magnifying or prescription, just glass.
+++ Measurements +++
Approx 4.5" across from hinge to hinge.
+++ Condition +++
Great condition for their age and very wearable. The lenses are in good condition with minor scuffs and scratches that do not affect wear, and the metal frames have some patina.
These are wearable with care at your own risk (the lenses are made of glass, and therefore do not meet modern safety regulations).
