Boston Store Chicago (“The home of true economy!”) catalog featuring the latest fashions for the spring and summer of 1908!
Founded by Charles Netcher in 1869, this Chicago department store was a major competitor to Marshall Field's and Carson Pirie Scott.
Under the guidance of Charles' wife, Mollie Netcher, the store expanded rapidly and became a leading retailer.
The new Boston Store, built between 1905 and 1917, was a 17-story marvel with modern facilities including a post office, savings bank, and more.
However, by the late 1930s, business declined and the store closed in 1948.
32 pages, including the front and back covers.
