Before the days of sunglasses, there were tinted glasses, believed by some to improve vision, but also worn for the sake of fashion by others.
These are a bit unusual with gold tone frame (most of the glasses I find are silver tone). They date from the late 19th century to early 20th century. They have wire frames that are flexible to fit a range of sizes.
The lenses are tinted slightly but are not magnifying or prescription, just glass.
+++ Measurements +++
Approx 4.75" across from hinge to hinge.
+++ Condition +++
Great condition for their age and very wearable. The lenses are in very good condition and the metal frames have some patina.
These are wearable with care at your own risk (the lenses are made of glass, and therefore do not meet modern safety regulations).
